The Goose Is Out Monthly Singaround

We welcome everybody to our Singarounds, to sing or to listen.

Songs can be accompanied or unaccompanied, solo or duo or more, any genre! It isn’t an open mic evening – we don’t use mics and we don’t use the stage .

First to sign up, first to sing, just sign up at any time during the evening at the list on the ticket table.  Everybody gets one song, then if there’s time we start again.

Door opens at 7pm, singing starts 7.15 prompt, £5 on the door cash or BACs only, sorry.

This Singaround is slightly different from usual as it will be filmed by local film-maker Tom Garneson. Here is a short statement from Tom. If you do not wish to be filmed please let us or Tom know.

“I’m making a short observational documentary about the Ivy House which will celebrate the pub as a place for the local community to come together. My plan is for the film to play out almost as a day in the life of the pub – we’ll see the huge variety of events which go on each week, the comings and goings of regulars, and the day to day processes involved in running a vibrant London pub. Ultimately I want the film to serve as a reminder that in modern Britain, where it’s increasingly common to feel disconnected from one’s local community, it’s more important than ever to preserve physical spaces where everyone is welcome.”
