The Regulars Variety Show

Inspired and informed by the waves of recent pub closures and with intention to remind us of what will be lost without them, ‘The Regulars’ is a socially surreal and absurd comedy show which aims to immerse its audiences in the culture and atmosphere of the Pub.  The show hopes to pay ode to the weird and wonderful characters we have all come across within pubs that make it what it is. Join the eponymous pub regulars as they laugh, cry, gamble and of course drink their way through life’s many ups and downs.  In this show, we hope to establish a pub community, one that usually takes lifetime to achieve, in one night. A raucous love letter to pubs, pub culture and the importance of community in the face of overpriced Guinness, based on real stories from real people. We want to highlight the importance of community/ third spaces whilst they are still around. We hope to put more shows on, like this one, specifically at pubs as the spending from audience members at the bar and new clientele is vital lifeblood to keep them open in an uncertain landscape.
